There are many exciting events coming up during this advent season. First, we are going to be having a special service for Christ the King Sunday. We will be covering the Church year in a service of readings, scripture and hymns. We hope you can join us November 24th for that service.
In October we decided to send our Noisy Offering to Samaritans Purse. This congregation donated $500 to help those devastated by the hurricanes. During Advent, we are collecting for the Christian Help Center and the council will match the donation given.
December begins our advent season. We are going to try something a little different this year. Typically, we have a midweek evening bible study but this year we are going to try a Sunday morning Bible Study. We will begin at 9am and we will go to 10am. Our first Sunday will be December 1st. We will have sign-up sheets to bring a breakfast snack. There will be sign-up sheets in the fellowship hall, or you can call the church office for more information.
Following our service December 1st we will be decorating the Church. We hope many can stay and help prepare our church for the festive season.
December 8th our service will be a intergenerational pageant. This will be different from any pageant we have had so it should be a lot of fun. Jan is looking for volunteers to read parts help with kids and costumes or serving pizza following the service. Last year was a lot of fun so we hope to see many excited faces.
December 22nd we are having a special holiday music filled service. Sandy has been working on this service.
December 24th, we have a candlelight service at 7pm.
